Marcos was born in England (Norfolk) in 1969 moving to Málaga, in the South of Spain, at a very early age. Since childhood he always felt a special attraction with anything to do with nature and wildlife, finding in the countryside and in the nearby sea his perfect playground.
Professional photographer specializing in Nature, Wildlife & Travel Photography, Marcos G. Meider has been capturing wildlife mementos ever since he had his first camera at the age of 8. Self-taught like many others, although he studied photography in a Polytechnic School ltaking up photography as his profession on graduating.
Nowadays he works as a freelance photographer and combines his images with articles written by himself for different publishers and magazines. His images are published worldwide across the five continents in countries such as Spain, USA, Japan, Russia, China, including various countries in South America and the majority of European countries.
His work is distributed worldwide through various international agents, and he has published his images in such prestigious magazines as Natura, Quercus, Viajar, National Geographic (Spanish and Greek editions), Essential, BBC Books, Birds Illustrated, Vida, etc. Many of his images have illustrated calendars, audiovisuals, panels, etc. for both publishing purposes and advertising campaigns.
For some years now he has worked exclusively in digital. Thanks to his early adaptation to the revolutionary system, he now produces his own digital audiovisuals production and makes his presentations in different events and festivals, speaks in public and gives talks and workshops on nature photography and digital workflow. He is available to undertake photographic assignments by request.
